Can i be without makeup?

im only fourteen and i dont feel the need to wear the kind of makeup that other freshman wear. I wear foundation almost everyday and maybe sometimes mascara. But anyway, I had taken an interest in like alternative clothing 'labels' (I am anti-label by the way) .Like goth, indie and i like some retro-y things from the 60's and 20's glamour but anyway. I was wondering, is it possible to be wearing those clothes without the makeup and pull it off or will it just look stupid on me? I can do the hair, I have no problem with hair but it's just makeup I feel so uncomfortable in.
