Steps to getting a good place in the Navy?

I am a boy freshman in high school.I get straight A's in honors cles and i play the cello. I am not into any other sports or clubs. Is there a way BESIDES going into the naval academy to get into college mostly for free and should i become an officer or enlist how does that exactly work and which is better to start off if i want to make the navy my job for maybe my life(go into navy enlisted and become officer)? I just want to be respected by my peers for going into the service and serving my country proud.
