How do you build this airplane?
OK. For a long time now i have wanted to build a modelish airplane even though i know nothing of aerodynamics or plane structure... Nonetheless, i was in physics cl and we were using propellers and it jogged an idea. Could I put a battery [a regular ol' battery nothing gas or rc about it] in the "hull" of the plane and connect to 1+ propellers on the plane and it fly...? I thought out basic plans but then a problem occurred. How would i get it down?!? I could not cut the connection off if it was in the sky! I though about putting homemade explosives of a water bottle, dry ice, and pieces of gl within the plane that would explode after the CO2 overloaded the bottle thus destroying the integrity of the plane and it would plummet. Or I could shoot it down with my 20 gauge... would the battery be too heavy for a plane about 20" some odd inches from front to back? Would the explosives do the job? could i use insulation foam? would wood be to heavy? Is this a cool idea? Answer whichever you feel... Give general commentary if you wish...
