Ok...What am I missing here?

The game between Mexico and South Africa around midway through the 1st half Mexico has a corner and somebody headed it to Dos Santos and he scored but he was called offside even though there was a south african player on the goal line. After the game ppl were saying that the call was correct. What am I missing, how was it the correct call?
