Vw corrado 1991 4 cyl turbo automatic bad transmission?

a jetta and golf has a 1.8 engine 1780 cc. also the corrado has 1.8 engine with 1780 cc.all 3 cars has the same digifant fuel system.i would say yes transmission should match up.
