Why do modern steel and concrete bridges have a life expectancy of only 50-75 years?

while the Romans built such structures out of bricks and mortar, and they've lasted for millennia? Modern sports stadiums are supposedly only good for 30 years. Compare that to the Roman Coliseum and the Pyramids. So much for modern technology?
